Thumbs up Gamo S1k And Grt-iii Trigger

It was with apprehension and doubt that I read all these great reviews this trigger made in GAMO's and other airrfles. I though that this is one real good piece of propaganda - should be able to get a job in the information ministry in Zim for singing the praises of a measly trigger in such a way.

Then I went to Charliedatuna's website and read some more. Started me thinking of ordering one.

Finally ordered one week and a half ago after reading the part which states that due Post Office theft he cannot guarantee that the trigger will get here. Well it must have slipped past as the postal worker was getting a better piece of of packaging.

Put in the trigger today and .... I can now join the others in the Information Ministry in Zim! It is awesome. Definitely well worth the apprehension and wait.

Schmart stuff eh ?
It is good to hear about the post, I will order my next one like that.
How did you pay Charlie, direct deposit into his account ?
And heed Charlie's warning, do not set it too light (just because you now can ) or it will 'surprise' you in a most unnerving way !

This is VERY important. I have posted this information before, but will do it again in the interests of safety.
I have personally installed 6 GTIII triggers, and have had to deal with some "almost" incidents from youngsters after the rifles were returned to them, because they can't help themselves - they have to fiddle. (Human nature I suppose).
It is important to note that the GRT trigger is a pseudo "two stage" trigger (meaning not a real one).
A real two stage trigger resets the sears when the pressure is released from the trigger if the shot is aborted, which means it is still "safe".
The Gamo trigger mechanism does not reset itself if the shot is aborted - it stays where you left it when you stopped. This means any slight bump will set it off!!!
To reset the gamo sears you have to re-cock the rifle.
The GRT trigger mod is great but be aware of the problem of setting it too light and of aborting a shot half way.
