    Default Webley Alecto Moderator Mod

looks interesting , however not an easy mod :

"This is not a simple job for DIY gunsmiths, and unless you are skilled in these things I wouldn't advise you try this.
The whole top slide has to be taken off the gun and dissembled. The metal pivot supports are removed and then the barrel is removed by undoing the four screws on the retaining blocks.
To fit an adapter the top slide then needs to be bored out at the muzzle, the barrel muzzle turned down to a spigot and re-crowned, then a concealed grub screw tapping is made to retain the adapter piece.
This mod will give you nearly a full foot pound of extra muzzle energy, everything else remaining exactly the same, so it is imperative the gun is carefully adjusted for power output afterwards.
The extra pneumatic efficiency will mean that you get nearly full power on just two pumps, and this is a very effective mod, balancing the gun nicely, with good aesthetics and the gun becomes very quiet on discharge."

Her is the same mod with Hatsan silencer attached

I'm sure there are some magicians around this forum that can accomplish something like this ?

I even noticed the case my Alecto came in , has room for an extended barrel.

Alecto has brought out the "Ultra" , bit with the moderator mod I think this pistol will be even more quiet...

Should be interesting to see if there is anyone in SA who does these mods.
QUite surprised at the fact that the Ultra shoot at something like 720 fp/s

    That looks way awesome!
Love the sound it produces with the silencer on!

How are you gents finding these pistols?
At what energy are you shooting?
Any AD's at three strokes? (Accidental discharges)

    1. I am very impressed - accurate enough for paper targets up to about 30m. With the red dot on top. EAI's never see you coming and stalking is quite fun

    2. I have not calculated energy as yet, but JSB exacts 6 shot chrony string at 3 pumps:
    187.8 m/s
    187.59 m/s
    188.94 m/s
    188.26 m/s
    188.83 m/s
    192.46 m/s

    3. I only use 3 pumps and are yet to have an AD. I have now shot about 450 pellets.

I must add that I got mine from Mze and if I recall correctly, he did adjust the trigger. I left the trigger as received as it is perfect and I could not justify making any changes to it.

How does this mod differ from the Ultra - it seems that the barrel on the Ultra is quite a bit longer? Is the barrel on the Ultra extended on the same principle or is it a "one piece" barrel? Also, can you name the engineering shop?
