    Found this DIY chemical recipe on some or other site:
    Chemical bluing:
    sodium thiosulphate.....125 gms
    lead acetate..........45 gms
    water..........1 lit
    Hot immersion(82 C,5 min.)
    You must lacquer or wax it <DON"T EXACTLY KNOW WHAT THIS MEANikko Stirling>
    Whether this is OK I don't know, have not tried it, but I know there are cold/chemical bluing kits available commercially.

    Your best bet I would say is Birchwood casey gun blueing kit it works well if you follow the instructions properly, and be patient! I've had decent results
