    Default AA S200 Adjustment

I have chronographed my 200S with cencerning results. A few shots with Ultratechs clock close together at between 798 and 805fps with about 2 to 3 out of ten flyers deviating by up to 60fps. This does not seem right. Anyone with suggestions?

Same result with other brands. Sorted pellets by weight. Thought it might be some kind of a mechanical problem with the internals.

Too much oil on the striker pin also cause irregular shots.

is the deviation of 60 fps above 800fps or only below?

I dont have the recorded figures but the greatest deviation lower than 800fps.(738). Not a gradual drop, but inbetween shots that deviate.(all above 130 bar preassure

    sounds like inconsistent striker hits...

Take out the striker, clean it, clean the striker housing, reassemble without oiling.

Gudio is on the right path. What often happens is that the striker pin spring collapses. You could also check that the striker cocking bolt is not loose. That will cause the striker to drag and also give erratic velocities.

When you re-assemble it use "Rocket Fuel" to oil the striker. Use only half a drop or less. If you KNOW how to polsih metal a light treatment will make your rifle more consistant than a regulated rifle (until the pressure drops to low).

The competition one. Think it is red label, the fuel itself is not real fuel, it is specialist oil we use for fishing reels to minimise drag on/in the bearings.

not really possible to be above...sometimes the striker binds a bit and causes lower velocities.

if it was above I would question the weight variation of those Ultratech pellets!!

A friend of mine had a similar problem also with a 200s. The o-ring on the cilinder was broken. Once replaced everything was back to normal.
