    Default importing direct...

    I am not looking to do any local dealers out of their money, but I do travel a lot overseas. if browsing and I see something i like and want to buy it and bring it back home, what shud I be aware of? is there any import permit required for air rifles? will i get stopped at the airport with it:? appreciate any advise.

    Import permits are required. No Import duty applicable only advelorum duty and VAT. The best is to declare to customs what you have and pay your dues. If you want to take the chance you could get away with it a few times but when you get caught you pay double in customs fines(not in court) also take into consideration your free allowance. In most cases, customs would not worry about a few drips and drabs. Very difficult to say yes or no.
