BAIT .I love my Weihrauch silencer.Have an adapter made to fit on the barrel that has a 1/2" UNF thread for the silencer. The Weihrauch is quiet. It is however not cheap.I give it a :thumbsup :bowdown :claphead

imho, without a doubt, the weihrauch silencer is the best out there at the mo. logun makes a brass 1/2" unf thread adapter for the old daystates that fits the bam.......

re lub........iirc use silicon grease on the o-rings and plastic on plastic moving parts.........for metal on metal use moly based grease and light machine oil on trigger sear pins...etc one can also use molycote 33 on the o rings.......just don't know where to get them locally.

Watch out for o-rings especially, petroleum based lubricants ruin o-rings.

    I use "Spanjaard Silicon Paste".

I use DWF as it was specifically recommended as NOT doing any damage to o-rings.. ok it was recommended for my motorbikes, but o-rings are o-rings whether on the bikes or the rifles??

About the silincer, I have a Woodchuck silincer for my Bam and it works great. When I go hunting in the field I shoot without making any noise.

I once shot some Pigeons at about 30m in a open field and I shot 5 before the must have found out that something was wrong.

I love the silincer, but I had to have it worked on after buying it because some of the pellets chipped the last ring. But after I had it done it worked beautiful and I think for the price it is a good buy.
