    Default Field Target air pistol?

While trying FT for the first time in my life at the aim show, one of the fellows told me that there is such thing as FT pistol class (or something in the line). You guys know of anything like that? I am a pistol kinda guy so would much rather do my sport with a pistol.

And I hate you evil people! Why introduce me to the FT sport? Now I want a PCP rifle too. They also told me that there is a springer class for the beginners. But they told me that scopes are allowed in springer class. So a beginner can buy a cheap Gamo springer for R1200 and then another R1000 on a strong enough scope (I can pick up a BAM PCP for that price)? It doesn't make sense to me?

All our classes are shot with rifles only. I don't know of any club that has pistol FT events.
If you still want to get a pistol, be prepared to pay big bucks! The Steyr LP-50's go for close to R10k!!!

FT Pistol is something that has been tried on a few occasions in the UK, however to the best of my knowledge it has never really caught on.

I believe there are one or two clubs over here that do hold pistol FT/HFT events from time to time.

Could be fun, but I think most people haven't got the time and dedication to learn how to use a pistol properly.

go with the AAs400 or 410. dont follow in my footsteps and many others. started out with the R2000.00 pcp then went to the R3500 then went to the ev at R10000+. the best is the s400 value for money.

S 400, I see they go for R5000+ and I still need diving tank and scope and sling and stuff. Ouch, I still owe the bank money for my Bisley F class I started building 2 years ago (and I haven't finished it yet.).

Well, who wants to buy my car and bike?

Now I know why some people are talking about airgun-ban. Maybe it has nothing to do with UN gun ban and stuf. That $hit is just addictive. So dear children, don't follow my example, don't touch that $hit or you ended up wanting more.

Get rid of the Bisley F class and first learn to shoot a real rifle. Hie hie You will get soooo much more fun out of FT.

Get rid of the F class?

    1) No way!
    2) My rifle is worth R500 in SA's gun market today. So I can get a cheek piece for a PCP?
