Default Malan's Airgun Cylinder Refill Calculator

This is a re-adjusted Excel spreadsheet to calculate the theoretical number of refills possible from a Scuba tank.... Most of the latest air rifles feature here, such as the Hatsan At-44, the Benjamin Disco's and Marauders and the Theobens....
If there are any more reservoir sizes available, such as the EdGun bullpup, please send the information to me to be included in the list of selectable rifles....
The calculation is only theoretical and will depend on one's own filling procedure, but i find it fairly accurate and maybe more conservative compared to other fill calculators...

    Enjoy

    Hi Malan
    Very neat

Can you add a 2l nad 10l cylinder
Or can you help with formula

    Ie I have a 2l 232 pony that I run down to 150bar , I than top up from a 6l 300 bar.
    How many times.

    I also have a 10l 232 which intend filling from 6l 300bar.

Just a once off will be good

    miles
I will have to do it manually just as a once-off and send you the results..... The 2 litre pony bottle makes sense, but lets see what the 10 litre 232 bar works out to be..... I would rather use the 232 bar bottle to top up the rifle to its maximum and then use the 6 litre 300 bar to fill the rifle to maximum intended fill pressure....

Hmmmmmmmm, it looks to be pretty spot on.

Got my cyclinder filled last week so will manually keep track and see how close I get to the 32 fills this calculation stipulates

    Hi there

Here is an update on the above spreadsheet, with a slider control on the Scuba bottle fill pressure, to see what the influence is if the bottle is not filled to maximum.....
Remember that these values are theoretical only and an assumption is made of how much air gets lost every time you charge the rifle....
An interesting formula also shows the Efficiency of the PCP rifle if you know the amount of shots available in the active fill region....

Her is an updated version of the same program with some more flexibility on the fill pressure value remaining in the Scuba tank, as well as a bigger selection on the types of reservoirs on a PCP....
