    Default help CZ200-S accuracy

    Howzit

I just bought a cz 200s and am looking for help/info. At 25 metres I get a nice tight grouping with my rirle. When the pressur gets to approx 150 the group moves 1. inch left. Then at approx 110 bar it comes back on line,( even if it is low). Why and how do I fix it.

    Thanx

Mine didn't do that, nor did I ever heard of one doing that. Maybe Hennie at Target Specialists can help. Or try Air Arms.

    Hi Dave

You do not state the velocity or pellet that you are using. from the information it sounds asif the trend is consistant.

I would suggest that you remove the barrel from the action and clean the port with solvent and compressed air. DO NOT attempt to drill it or make any other alterations. Simply clean it out and blow it dry as there may be lint or dirt stuck in the port. Reassemble and resight.

If this fails see steps below

Do you shoot with a silencer?
Do you change the grip on the rifle over a rest?
Have you checked that all fittings are tight?

If you have access to a chrony I suggest that you fire a string from 170 - 90 bar. Note the velocity of each shot and it should give you an indication of what is happening.
To me it sounds like the rifle is actually in its sweet spot from 150-110 bar. You can tune it by setting the tuning screw on the side of the action. Do it in small incriments and take notes of the turns so that you can reset it if required.

Turning the venturi screw out will result in more air passing through but not nesecarily consistant where turning it in may lead to less air being passed through with more consistancy and making allowance for striker valve lag.

Q? Did this happened more than onces. It could be the wind. Shoot with wind flags.
