    Default Wolwehoek provincial 24 June 2006

    Invitation to all SAFTAA and non affiliated shooters to participate in a SAFTAA sanctioned provincial

    Course of fire
    30 Field Targets of two targets per lane.
    The usual regulars like Noddy's Car, Little house of Horrors, 10 mile wide and windy conditions will be present.
    Springers and PCP welcome
    Sighter range available
    UPGRADED clubhouse, ablution facilities and canteen

    Fees
    Non Wolwehoek members R25.00 range fee + R30.00 event fee
    Wolwehoek and SAFTAA members R25.00 event fee only on presentation of a valid SAFTAA card

    Im intrigued, what is "Noddy's car and the Little house of horrors"? are they actual toys or just a name for a target?

    Go to Google earth, then search with pointer for these co-ordinates.
    26deg16'56,34" S
    28deg04'25,71 E
    That is where you can park your car when you come for your beer/cold drink etc.!!!

    Satelite photo in Google's database is a bit old (+-2yrs) Area is built-up now. Unfortunayely rest of SA (rural) not covered with high resolution photo's, so this trick will not work for Wolwehoek...:-(

    Z for you and the rest of the SA Team the shooters meeting will be at 16h30.If you can finish the range before it gets dark then we will all know that you all desreve to be in the team !lol

    Directions as per Stoffeltoo's way back email

    Take R59 past Alberton.

    Keep on R59 past Vereeniging – bear left

    Take R42 to Vanderbijl park

    Keep straight, The following landmarks on this road are:

    1st robot - P&P on L/H side

    2nd robot – Vaal University on L/H side

    3rd robot – Total garage on RH side

    4th robot – Frikkie Meyer Boulevard

    5th Robot – Faraday Boulevard

    6th Robot – turn left onto R57



    Pass below two bridges – Over Vaal river – pass below another 2 bridges.

    Bear left

    Road splits from slip way

    Bear right, then left when around circle

    Follow road to the fountain, bear right and straight into Sasolburg

    Follow main street through two robots till u hit another circle. (Landmark ZIO’s )

    Bear straight through circle, Sasol factory left, Mine dump right

    Follow the road and at the end of the mine dump turn right



    U will see a huge arch made from mining jacks with Sigma mine on them. Follow the road over the conveyor bridge, 3 way stop straight and at T junction turn left, Wolwehoek board, turn right

    Follow gravel road to red flag, left, speed slow and park at clubhouse

    sorry'ols.........won't be coming up for this one. you see guys.........i really want to hunt with a bow this year, here in KZN. ie. i must get KZN hunters proficiency/permit asap, so i will still have time to hunt before end of the season. it happens that the proficiency course/exam is this weekend (thur-sunday).

    so i guess my return to FT (the domination) will just have to wait 'till next month. :smokin
