Default HFT in SA are you in favour of, not in favour of an HFT ranking.

Please respond to the above and also please post so as we can have some idea as to who we all are, this is not to be able to victimise anyone but rather to know how many in each province are interested/ not interested in HFT ranking.

I love HFT, but want to keep it FUN. If we start with ranking and all the other stuff we will soon have "problems" and the fun part will be gone!

Warrick to be honest I am not interested.I will help where I can to promote the sport .However I just think that HFT is a step backwards. What I dont understand is how on earth can they let all the technology out there go to waste ?(scope wise)

I think the sport has an important place if we can get people to show up for the shoots. Our HFT shoots at Leeuwkop have always had the same few faces , thats just not the way forward if you cant get new faces.

isn't the FT also act as technology wasted? (power wise)

FT just part of the airguning... how many people actually go hunt with their fancy FT rig?

most of us don't shoot airgun for living.. and it's all about the habit and fun... we should welcome other people join the rest part of airguning and have fun too...

expensive equipments and narrow rules now become the barrier of airguning gateway... so less people could offord to enter the sport...

boondock I have been hunting with my FT rig.(Just took off the big wheel)

Sure the power limit can be frowned on. I really dont see how a guy can buy a grand scope and not use it in to its full effect in HFT.

Your last point is a good 1.This can be said for FT.Problem is after a short time in HFT it also became an arms race in HFT in the UK.I dont think there is getting away from the fact that when people compete they want to do well and will buy the best kit they can to do so.Perhaps I should not be so critical. :dunno

You like Leeukop springers ? Thats because you got a rolls royce !

Yes , a lot of talk was made about HFT being springers only , it should be a vehicle to get the back street guys to come forward .

At this stage , I dont think it should have ranking , just try & get it up & popular .

I second that. All compititions shot at the same time, same course, each with its own rules applicable.
