OK, so the weekend I ran out of Shoot'n'See targets which I've always posted at more or less the same position ito height and completely level if I check with a spirit level. I then printed some smaller targets - 7 in total - on an A4 page. Posted this up and started shooting at the bottom left target which is at about the same height I usually post the Shoot'n'See's. POI remained as before, more or less on the bull area as I've zeroed the scope at this level before.
Then I shifted up to the next target above and, oh gosh, the groupings now sit at 1cm below the bull.
Then I shifted to the topmost center target on the page and the darn group sits 2cm below the bull!!!
I shot at 30yards and 12x mag with a 4-16x50AO scope with the parallax set to 30 yrds exactly.
Pellets are 0.20 H&N F&TT at 11.6grains at 860fps.
What gives? Is this normal for a springer even if the amount of elevation from bottom to top of an A4 page is so slight?
Any ideas or is this normal and I'm just not used to shooting slightly "up"?
