Very nice. Not to detract, but while we're on handmade hooks, here's how GinB ( http://www.GinB.it/std_and_opt.php?lang=en&id=1&optid=1 ) does theirs:
When you fit or remove the recoil pad, put a very small amount oil on the screwdriver tip. It will save the rubber. You also only need to make small staight cuts with a sharp blade where the screws go into the pad. When done right, you will not see any holes or marks when done fitting it.
