Default Why the Walther Dominator are the best Race guns around.

this is just an explanation of why!!!!!

there is nothing that comes out of a box that is perfect.

women when looked at look perfect but once you get married and open the box you find that you have fine tune to get the best performance.

when i go out to a mine to demo some equipment and it works first time i get worried because 99% of the time there are little hick ups.

the Walther is no exseption, out the box it was prommising but after a phew shoots it was apparent that it needed some fine tuneing, yes it took 3 attempts but it is spot on now.

just like jasons S400 it is not an out the box rifle, he has had his hands on it fine tuning it.

the person who tells me that his equipment is perfect out the box it just telling lies.

    i await your comments

Besides that it has been faultless...been shooting it this afternoon...it kicks ass!!

The .20 HP conversion is also awesome...looking forward to some 100 to 150 yrd groupings this weekend.

I love my Steyrs with all my peepee...

I'm hoping to get my hands on a bench rest as soon as I get home as I want to (a) do some scope tweaking and (b) get a bit of practice.
What I have noticed is the Steyr has a flatter trajectory between certain ranges. Both guns shoot exceptionally well and I'm very happy very them.
I'll do some charts as soon as the Wife lets me out.

What do you mean, "avoiding the subject"? WE simply said that WE, as Steyr owners NEVER had any problems, unlike your Dominator which needed 3 attempts to correct.
Anyway, ETD, I wish you many happy hours of tweakfree shooting.

i never said that there will be problems. just never perfect. if the steyr was pefect i would would shoot every make of pellets the same. no its not perfect you have to fine tune which pellets the rifle likes.

A rifle is an inanimate object Errol, it isnt capable of liking anything. Thats like asking a tin if it prefers Beans or Spaghetti in it. But i know what your getting at.

I would disagree that the Dominator is the best racegun - the simple fact is all the ones I know of in the UK have needed attention to the regulators to ensure consistent and reliable operation. Now I don't expect perfection out of the box, I do expect to have to set the rifle to my preferences.

However when I spend the sort of money an LG300 costs I do expect the f*****g thing to work reliably.

At the end of the day these guns are not designed from the ground up as FT rifles, they have taken their 10m guns and uprated them.

In terms of out of the box perfection of reliability I would say the SportsMatch GC2, Ripley AR4, the Whiscombe and the Mick Dawes Special come as close to that as any gun is likely to.
