Default The Perfect Field Target Rig?

If there were no limit to you budget what would your perfect FT Rig be? Maybe something like a Ripley with a Schmidt & Bender Scope?

It's good to dream now and then.

Dale's red Pro-T with one of his special Leupolds on top. Not that it would make any difference to my shooting, I would just like to have it.

With no limit on budget and if I could persuade them to build it:

Mick Dawes Special in stainless steel fitted with one of Nick Jenkinson's hand built stocks.

Scope wise probably the 35x Leupold Mk4 I am buying on Sunday.

I see on Airgunbuyer.com that they no longer stock the EV2 cos they waiting for the new model out in December. Don't know if its an EV 3, or just minor updates but should be quite interesting...

My information is that the EV3 is a dream. Only some mods to the EV2 but that could have changed in the mean time.

ILL say the best rig will be a RIPLEY AR5s with a PAUL WILSON stock and a SCHMIDT BENDER scope and then send the ripley to NICK MURPHY for all the right trick bits and mods if that dont work there is a sport they call fishing try that then and let as know :thinkerg :thumbsup

OK, I know this is not the forum for it, but imagine that cost NOR licensce was an issue... We could all have been competing with things like these. the M107:
0.50cal, 660grain bullet with 11500ft/lbs punch and effective range just about 2000m.

Jislaaik, we could really have some fun on a Saturday - find a naaice quiet little valley, take a 4x4 trip to the one side in the morning, set up some targets, 4x4 trip back to the other side, shoot 'em down 'round about lunchtime, make a potjie, then go home... *sigh*

Without a doubt or second thought, the best rig has been, is and will be: A BSA Meteor with open sights. :blingbling :naughty :rotflmao

    Fucius,
You would not be driving your own vehicle after a whole morning's shooting of a .50.
