After many tribulations the scope finally works!
Okay, half a story. I bought a 4-12 Gamo in April, and I could just not set the darn thing. Sudden jumps of up to 30mm in any direction was not uncommon. Went back to the supplier who would gladly exchange it, but I wanted a higher magnification scope, and chose the 6-24x50. None available at the time, so I waited.....three months. A shipment came in, but they were all already allocated...then one popped up. Rushed to pick it up, mount it, and test....AAARGH!! vertical adjustment beautiful, horisontal adjustment seriously erratic and unpredictable. Back to the drawing board.
The latest one came in the weekend and I picked it up last night. This morning fitted it and MAN!! was it worth the wait. The combination of MZE's trigger and gas ram into the CFX, and the new Gamo 6-24x50 is pure poetry.
Uncle Vince, I'll HAVE to come visit you at NC. She needs a good test.
