    Default Winchester or Hatsan?

    Hi guys,

I have heard some rumors that the Hatsan 55 is really a Winchester 1000 and that the Hatsan 35 is really a Winchester 35. Someone even said Hatsan also munufactures Daisy.

    Any comments???

There are two countries Hatsan is made in. Turkey and Brazil. Winchester and Daisy do use rebranded hatsans as their lower range of rifles. The Winchester 1000X is a rebranded Hatsan M70.

Forgive my ignorance but is Daisy any good ?I remember playing with 1 when I was small and all that comes to mind is that it was not of the best quality.

They are cheap guns. There are a few models that are exceptions to this but generally they aren't the best I've shot.

When I was a laaitie if your dad bought you a Diana you run away from home because he did not love you any more. Today you have to take a second bond on your house to afford one. What is in a name?. We all know the best rifles are manufacture by none other than "Air Arms" hie hie hie

    Just my 10c .
Most of the Winchesters are actually made by Hatsan.
... like RWS and Diana is the same thing
... and all Beemans, where the name starts with HW, is made by Weihrauch

Can we get a list here somewhere of cloned or copied rifles?

Holy cow! Interesting. We should warn guy,s about this type of thing, I would hate for some poor sod to go and buy what he thinks is high quality just to end up being shafted! this is of course assuming that the "winchester" aka dressed up Hatsan is more expensive than the identical rifle with it,s real badge!

    Vuilhond,
You said previously that this is your first air rifle.
You will soon see, after having shot a really good springer what the difference is, not only in performense but also in price. There is just no comparisson between what you have now and a Weihrauch, Air Arms, BSA, Diana and a few others. Enjoy your rifle for now, you will soon upgrade.
