    Default Wetton shoot HFT rules

I have attached an abbreviated list of rules for HFT at the AAC.

We realise that the list is not comprehensive, but the main points are there and we can go into more detail at the pre-shoot briefing if necessary. This is really just an aide memoire to remind the experienced and enlighten the newcomers of the basics.
The rules are mostly drawn from the current UKHFT rules, with the main exception of allowing slightly more power from the rifles than is legal in the UK. This exception of the 14fpe limit as against 12fpe in UK), is aimed to bring into the sport those of us with standard slightly higher powered springers.

Please let Andrew or myself have any questions or comments (positive comments much preferred!).

If you have not got much practice in lately, there is still time!
See you at Wetton on Saturday.
    cheers

    Trevor

    Ok questions/sugestions

    1. For HFT, into how many classes is the field going to be divided?
    My preference would be just
    Juniors
    Ladies
    Open springer
    Open PCP
And maybe open sights for Gary.

    2. When the scores are posted, could the rifle, scope and pellets used by each
shooter also be added. I think there is already place on the entrance form for
    this info.

    3. Will there be a one HFT log this year for shoots arranged by both clubs.
Last years log sort of died half way through the year.

    4. I'll leasve this one to later.

    ALan,
    1. for the classes: check the abbreviated rules - we have gone for : Recoiling and PCP - just two classes simple as that. We can look at more later if there are sufficient competitors to warrant a seperate class.
    2. Good idea! and yes you are correct. On each score sheet there is a place for all the details which you ask for- so long as they are completed we will be able to post the scores as you suggest.
    3. This has not been discussed but scores will be posted on this forum and on the re-vamped AAC website (can't say when that will be finished).
    4. We had better leave that one until later!

    hope this helps
