Default The UK Inter Regional Championships

On the 1st April, the UK inter regional championships were held at the national ground at Newbury in Berkshire.

There are some pics at this link if you want to have a look: http://www.zen63696.zen.co.uk/galler...s-07/index.htm

Some interesting rifles to be seen.

I'm there using my stainless GC2

    Hi Gerrie,

Windy!! It was a real battle to get the measure of the wind, especially when some of the firing points were really sheltered , giving the impression that the wind had dropped. Across the board scores were knocked back by the conditions.

I scored a 29ex40 (4 points ahead of James Osbourne) not brilliant but under the circumstances satisfactory as I hadn't used that rifle for several weeks. Top score was a 36 from former 2005 world champ Ian Taylor.

    Full scores here: http://www.bfta.net/Regionals.html

Not bad under the circumstances, I don't think. Congratulations to you and your team mates.

You lucky to shoot with all those big names.I know they are just people .I am sure some of their skill rubs off if you pay attention.

Well done on your scoe Dale.

Is it just the way the pix were taken or were the targets real close?

    Allan,

That is the fore-shortening effect of the camera. From memory there were only 9 targets under 40 metres, of which 4 were standing shots, 3 were kneeling and two freestyle (sitting).
