Default Support for the Worlds 2008 Field Target bid in South Africa

    Hello Guys and Gals.

The World FT body has laid the gauntlet down for us to prove our worth.

We need to know from our members and those that see the opportunity what they are
willing to do to make the World FT shoot a reality.

We need to see a show of hands who is willing to help run the event.

Who is willing to stand on the organising committee ?

As well as do we want to host the event.

We have believed that 2008 would be our chance .We however as always have other countries that would be as keen to host the event.

For all those guys out there who want to bring World FT shoot to South Africa.

What are you willing to do?

If we donít respond we will be left behind !

Spyker I was told last year that you can.You however shoot after the main event. This is not to be taken as fact. The guys that have been to Poland and England may be able to give a better answer.

Personally I think you guys should go after this opportunity with a vengeance. The fact that you have attended two consecutive world's so far will work in your favour.

I am quite surprised/dissapionted to see the amount of interest (or the lack thereof) this tread has generated
    6 Replies 69 Views

Funny how a tread about the "Domi vs S400" that has been argued about countless times and that seldom
gives credit to the chap pulling the tiger (the real factor) can generate so much interest:
40 Replies 506 Views (when I last looked)

Both treads were started on the same date!

    WELL?????

DO YOU WANT TO SA TO HOST THE WORLD'S 2008 ?

Someone has to organise it SOON
Someone has to do some work
Many will be needed to help (not just the 3 on the tread)

I have done my best to get the Worlds to be hosted in SA in 2008, but is it just one man's dream soon to become a nightmare?

This is a Major International Event!

Think of all the positive effects it will have on SAFTAA and shooting in general in SA

    See the bigger picture

Yes, you can help and shoot (especially if you plan in advance and have enough manpower)
RO' can be trained beforehand (example :Wonderboom marshals at the 2006 SAFTAA Kickof were schoolboys)
Admin personnel need not be participants, neither do they even have to know the rules
    Workers can be hired

    This is our last chance
Voting at WFTF for the Hosting Country 2008 will start shortly
Northern Ireland have indicated: they want to host 2008

Thank you to the 3 that have responded
Please ad your name to the list and indicate if you are prepared to serve on the "2008 Worlds Committee"

As much as I would love to commit to this, being in S.A for less than 6 months a year wouldnt be fair to the other volunteers but if I'm in the country on the day I'm more than willing to strap targets to trees.

It would be so fantastic to shoot next to some of the all time greats and to learn a trick or 2 from them in my own back yard.An opertunity I would not shy away from.EWven if it involves a bit of work.
