He probably has them lazer cut by the look of it. If I had to make one of those parallax wheels on my milling machine, I would probably charge what the scope is worth and then the finish would be crap by comparison.

Andrew , I asked Casper if he used a laser and he said no it was milled .I think Boondock should give him a call and just check.

Milled! really. Was it an automated machine running off software or was it done by hand the hard way?

Even a CNC will not provide a smooth finish on something that small. The surface will be rough and need polishing. A spark eroder will be better in my opinion or use a CNC maching to make a cast for moulding them. Most engineering shops also wont take on a job that small, unless you intend making 1000+. I hope you can find a friend or enthusiast with the right equipment. How many do you need? just one? If you don't come right in CPT, let me know Boondock, I'm pretty sure I can help but you'll need to send it to KZN.

Louis Nel Designs, also known as Goodnel Eng. Very high quality workmanship. You guys will probably recognise the name as they also make Goodnel bullets which are excellent. Call Louis on 083 603 5545
