Not sure, never timed it. Maybe Walrus can comment on how long the batteries lasted in the MPR he bought from me. They did not run out while I had it. I did the first prototype with 5 LED's, and quickly realized the extra 2 LED's are just for show. You only need to know if you should to tilt the rifle left or right to get it to centre.

Mine has a pair of AAA batteries - have changed them once after my riflebag kindly turned the LED on for me.

No idea as to life, but I would imagine at least a year of nomal usage no problem if you don't leave it on in the bag...

& also 3 colours better than 2 - you know which way you are canting based on the light in your peripheral vision & can correct sub-consciously.

Mine is also VERY sensitive, so you only have a degree or 2 of leeway.

Looking good! Will you make a single, one-size-fits-all or can we specify what scope we want to use them on?

I'm trying for 'one size fits all'. Making a mold for each scope out there is not worth it. As it is now it should work with 35 to 45 mm diameter occular housing, and if there is some stretch left in your rubber eyepiece it might work as well (stretching over the scope and the little "roof" over the LED's.).
