I saw these a few years back at the Defense expo at Waterkloof airbase. They had both 20mm and the baby "14.5mm?" versions, and the Beetle they were used on (with vids), on display. They had to chase us away because of possible rust from all our drooling
Anyway, Here's specs and info:
That is not a pistol scope but a normal scope with just long eye relief, it is mostly used on guns that need fast target aquisitian, like the Steyr Scout or Henry repeating rifles or any gun to shoot running animals like wild boar etc or animals that charge or when hunting with dogs. That is also the reason the magnification is not the biggest because the bigger the mag the smaller the exit of light would be and you wont see much with 50x mag when the scope is moved away from your eye. Those scopes are also made so that you can shoot with bith eyes open. That is a very nice gun indeed.
It's an 8X scope, so 2,3Km's would be a bit much. Remember, this is not a sniper rifle, but an anti-material rifle, i.e it's used for large soft targets like vehicles, radar installations, generators, etc. Also ammo is standard multi type military ammo, not match-grade so even if you have the correct optics, hitting a human size target at 2+km's would be highly unlikely or lucky.
