Ha-hahah-hahaha, someone broke into my hamster's cage and stole his wheel....
But, seriously, what's the point? To mark the wheel in increments of 0.2m from 1m out to 500m or what?

No, no, it's when after the shoot you can remove it and play roulette to raise funds for the drunk fathers at the fete who are not allowed to shoot air rifles, hehehe. Uh, sorry, 2 threads crosswired there, I'll go pour another rum...

The bigger the more accurate. Some scopes you have to take a wild guess after 45 m.Whith a wheel like that you never know you may just score an extra point.

Like Allan said it's for finer range finding. But how accurate it would be futher than 45m can be debated.

The side wheel isn't THAT big at all. Some prefer small and other prefer bigger, main thing is it must not be too heavy.
Bigger wheels have their own advantages, finer range finding at longer ranges, easier to use in standing and kneeling positions ....
it's a matter of choice, and I prefer mine in the 130-150mm range for FT - big yes, and lite aswell !
