Went online last night to place an order with BAR. Someone at BAR served in the armed forces. Orders to South Africa require us to e-mail them first. 3 guesses what is not on the website. Anyone out there got their e-mail address?
firstname.lastname@example.org for orders. You don't need to order via email, you can do it online with your credit card. They just tell you that to be safe. For info you can speak to Lloyd at BAR (email@example.com)
Hi Boertjie, i've got one installed in my 97K, havn't shot it too much as waiting to get a new scope, but it definately does makes a huge difference. Completely removes the spring "twang" and overall just feel much more pleasant to shoot. Although it's ended up costing me something like R1600 in the end for it, and i really don't know if its worth that much to be perfectly honest.
Hi Guido, I had to pay the bank to transfer the money to an english bank and that added an extra 200 odd rand on to the total cost.
But according to the website you only have to do direct deposit for your first with BAR, after that you can pay with a credit card which should eliminate this cost. Something to bare in mind for new customers.
I believe I'm nearly convinced - I have Guido's input and I have just emailed Andrew for the final nail in my financial coffin. So a CC payment to BAR is probably the best way to go - will keep that in mind.
I haven't heard any comments on Titan XS springs - I'm pretty logical so their whole sales talk about the best Swedish steel coated with PTFE makes sense to me. Comments?
