Default My paintball marker to pcp conversion

Took my Spider paintball gun with a long barrel. Fitted a 4.5mm barrel inside the .68 barrel. Will be looking to use the small air bottels on the machine. Current mount rings to be replaced for higher rings, the scope in the way of cocking the marker. Still need to decide if I am going to add a fore hand grip. "custom" pipe stock, actually comfortable, will add thin rubber cover. Cant wait to shoot tomorrow.

Found the missing mods, worked like a charm. Noisy pcp haha.
Test in garage: shot marksman green box sharp pointed pellet clean through bottom of 750 gram
    Ricoffee tin at 2.5m distance.

Did 10 meter shoot this weekend to set the scope in, was just getting good groups when
the paintball gun's sear got rounded. To be replaced, then we are back in business.

would like to buy a 5.5mm barrel to build second barrel for the painter gun, seeing that
there is power to spare and I can still juice up some more power with the bolt spring.

    will keep you updated.

    Hi Cowboy,

Had a look on the first marker, no name on it, but my boet told me it was a spyder.
New platform is a Vortex marker.
You can use any marker as platform, as long as it can deliver the propellant. I will be modifying the original pin that connects the hammer and TP bolt, so that the hammer will stay in correct upright position.
Will have to change the valve pin to a copper head, instead of the plastic one, they do not last.

Please post your progress, I will do the same this side, Cowboy

I lied, sorry. Next platform is a Vexor marker. Will need mods to facilitate the rail for scope, but good platform still.

Hi there. Can we get a bit of a update here. Maybe a closeup of what you did and the mods you made. This looks like a REAL cool project. I might want to follow suite with my BT......

Let me start like this; use a mechanical marker.
    Bolt has to be cut

Dril a new hole 90degrees to the existing cocking pin hole

This will be the new hole for the bolt handle, tapped the hole.
Made a new bolt handle from flat head bolt, length to be determined lastly, when scope height is confirmed.
    new bolt handle so far

My brother turned new valve pin for me, as the original plastic part on the pin does not last very long

I already centred a 5.5mm barrel in the marker barrel.
Next step will be to make the bottel connection on the rear of the marker, to use as tank and stock.

Will post again as progress is made.

Painter has been left in the very capable hands of Ulrich, to do his magic with a "bikini stock" maybe something in the lines of this:

Then to sort out the CO2 line from front to back, and the scope mounts.

    Before I forget:
thanks Ulrich for all the help and advice thus far
Thanks Kuberboef for the Svetlana 5.5mm barrel, that will live forth in the painter.
    More later.......
