    Default Battle of the Boings

We all think our Springers are the best, now its time to put them to the test.

You get to choose ONE springer from your arsenal and you will be representing that springers brand.
Your rifle can be out the box or modified as long as it is powered by a spring. You will need to specify whether it is stock standard or modified and with what. This will provide valuable information down the line when a member does a search on the forum.

    There will be two events:

25m Bench rest and 25m 5 shot grouping.
Both may be shot in any way the shooter chooses (bench rest, FT) as long as it conforms to the regulations set by that discipline.
You may submit 1 target a month in each event.
Rules will be decided how these will be shot and judged. ( We will need to bear in mind the guys on the farm and those who don't have ranges nearby - honesty is key)

Points will be awarded in two ways. First to the BRAND (Weihrauch, Air Arms) and secondly to the SHOOTER.
    Top ten get points
    1 - 12
    2 - 10
    3 - 8
    4 - 7
    5 - 6
    6 - 5
    7 - 4
    8 - 3
    9 - 2
    10 - 1

Each month points will be tallied up and we will have a monthly winner (Shooter and Brand) and Log leaders.

Targets will be provided in the months competition thread.

For now, prizes will be the pride and maybe if we ask nicely the mods can help with a floating avatar.
MOT's are welcome to donate prizes

Any suggestions please list and hopefully Sunday 19h00 we'll have our August compo running.

If it grows it could be an idea but in the beginning it will be easier to have one league.
I'm still a noob myself with a pedigree springer, only had it a couple months.

    Does a gas-ram qualify as a spring?

    Hmmm

To keep things a little more fair, how about limiting the scope size?
    say 3-9 or 4-12.
Or then limit the magnification you can use?
    Maybe 16 could be good?
I think it will showcase the gun better.

Actually trying to avoid that, just put a cap on the magnification you can use.
No one says you can't use less, just not more.

Difficult to control scope magnification used on a postal shoot, but then again same will go for actual distance and gun used etc. Guess its all about trust in the end.

As long as we get a picture of whose spring weapon is best. We can limit it if it will give more accurate results. I shoot off 6x so im not phased

    Have a poll/vote?
Something the community should decide not us.

Shoot it any way you like as long as you specify rifle, type of sighting device, etc.

I shoot better on lower mags. Im hoping this will carry on for a bit so lets let the first month be a little lax and if there is an interest we can start setting rules.
I do agree with you that this is about the rifle and not the scope.
