im thinking of bying a qb79 bulk fill co2 rifle. its advertized at 1000fps is this possible in co2. if anyone could tell me anything about this rifle id be verry greatfull
I got one for my girlfriend a year or so ago. It does NOT do 1000fps out-the-box, more like 650fps with like a 7.9gr pellet - although I've never had chance to chrony it.
Some pages available on the www that shows you how to mod it a little and then you get about 750 to 800fps max - which is really good in my opinion.
Of course the stock was really crap and varnished. I stripped it, sanded it, stained it and oiled it. Replaced the cheap plastic butt-pad with a nice ventilated Bisley one (cut & sanded to fit) and THEN, voila, she looks good, shoots good for what she is. Fitted a Nikko Stirling Gold Crown scope with 2-piece mounts on top and a silencer on front. Works well.
In standard form with a 9oz paintball CO2 bottle I get (I've never really counted) a crapload of shots.
She shoots well up to 35m max, but beyond that it's a case of running out of "steam" a bit.
If Warrick is still around on this forum he can tell you lots more on 'em than me.
Which leads me to another question for Warrick: Where can I get a complete seal kit?
Anyway, Airsniper, they shoot lekka, for what they are and what you pay for them and imo are quite accurate, but you'll HAVE to work on it to not look like a tacky piece of sh!t from china, if ya know what I mean.... makes a great hobby project!
Hi, what was the accuracy like after you tweaked it? Does it go further than 35m that Airsniper gets?
The tweaking pushed the velocity up, but I'd stick to 35m as the max range. The increased oomph allowed me to use heavier pellets which seemed to improve accuracy a fair bit... I see you are contemplating a CZ/AA 200 - it'll beat the QB hands down every time.
