    Default leupold scope

    Hi All

Im am looking into getting a new scope.

What Leupold will focus from short distance like 10-20m?

Will the competition 40x45 focus so close. Want to use it for Benchrest shooting from 25 Yards. Or the 6.5-20 x 40mm scope?

Does anyone have prices for me.

    Any suggestions will be helpfull.

    Thx

The comp series will focus down to a little over 10m from factory (some will come in closer) and they can be adjusted to focus closer as well.

With the 6.5-20x40 you would need to go for the EFR (extended focal range) version to get focussing under 10m, the ordinary VX-3 can be adjusted but at the cost of focussing at longer distance.

    Natali and Dale,
Bear in mind that the sporter class (I think it is) can only be shot at 12x so the scope should preferably be multi magnification. BR is shot at 25Yards(23m) so if this is for BR only it does not have to range closer than that. If it is going to be used for FT also it is obviously a different ball game AFA close and longer ranges are concerned.

    Dankie Oom Gerrie
Kyk na 'n scope vir my windbuks(min 12X) en 1 vir die .22(Unlimited) so dit maak nie rerig saak nie.

Soek iets wat nie gaan op pak en probleme gee nie. Die Leupold gaan ek van Amerika af kry.

    More Natali,
OK if you are looking for two scopes then it does not make a difference. I just thought you are going to put a scope on your rifle that will not be usable for all classes. There are lots of scopes available that will not fail you. If your Leapers is falling apart you should contact Guido in CPT, he can help you to claim against your warranty.

    Natali,
There you go girl. My good deed for the day done. Contact Boondock on the forum, he might be able to help with your scope problem.
