saw those.. would be interesting to say the least! $400 with pump right? Will be the cheapest PCP in SA if someone imports them. Who knows, with a few upgrades(to get rid of the plastic) they may even be a hit!

Hi Andrew, this was just posted. I check this website everyday, new stuff gets loaded every day at about 14hoo SA time. The author is Tom Gaylord aka BB Pelletier. Quite informative. Anyhow they had the Discovery on the blog today:

Yeah but none of those guys want to send any rifle to South Africa. Got something to do with the Patriot Act.
I doubt very strongly that the local agents will import it, and if they do, you'll probably pay an arm and a leg for it.

Plastic trigger can be easily swopped for a GTX200 III type in no time....

This will give better adjustment for first and second stage travel....
Allan, I do share your sentiments on the CO² route, the power you will get out of running it with such compressed air (CO²) will probably not even reach 8 fpe.... Number of shots is about 100 according to the Gaylord article.

Yes but with the C02 you will get more shots and it will make a very nice plinker. Remember you can use both CO2 and compressed air in the same rifle with the compressed air giving you a full power rifle.

I wouldnt mind having the C02 option if it does not hamper the normal compressed air operation. C02 Bottles are a lot cheaper than dive tanks, so you can use C02 untill you have the cash for the tanks, and you dont have to get a new rifle!

Has anyone actually owned a Crosman product that worked well and wasn't really naf quality?

I won't be heart broken if they don't ship them here, besides, this might mean a new QB equivalent to emerge down the line. The QB78/79 series totally kicked Crosman's equivalent arses and provide a better platform to mod from.
