    Controlled Surface Treatments:
    Tel: (0110 914-1356/7/8
    In Monday out Thursday, and cheap.
    OR
    Any gunshop and more expensive.

    Has anyone here ever used the DIY blueing products? I've seen it mentioned on other forums but not here.

    Yes, it is only a temporarily job, it will work off. I have been using it for years, my opinion it is crap!

    Yeah, DIY bluing products might be "crap" cause they're not permanent, but for sorting out little cosmetic issues like minor scratches and wear marks they work well. I use the Bisley product - goes for ~R125 a bottle at gunshops. Just watch out, VERY toxic - contains Selenium. Renders a beautiful coulour though and imo, doesn't wear off that fast. My 2c worth...

    Just finished my blue tank. Will probably try it out this weekend.

    Gunblueing only works on METAL and not on ALUM and BRASS. Anodize works on alum. Guncoat works on all metals, I prefer guncoating because it does not BLING BLING.
