Suggest people find a school or pistol club doing 10m air pistol. Have a go and you will discover as I did why air target pistols are built the way they are.

Be warned. It is as addictive as FT, HFT, silhouettes, IPAS, etc.

    Compact - R3032 primitive trigger.
Zoraki - R2200 fully adjustable trigger. Neither Gamo nor Weihrauch pistols can match this adjustment.

I have a Gamo pistol of my own, which is part of my collection of six air pistols from a very old smooth bore webley junior to the Baikal 46M.
the Gamo is all smoke and mirrors. The grip looks great and is very nice but the trigger is too heavy and cannot be adjusted to an acceptable weight. I will measure it when I get the chance. There is also too much play on the locking mechanism. If you see how much the top of the pistol moves compared to the frame with each shot you will see what is mean.
Also, and for me most important, is the Gamo does not have an automatic safety catch like Weihrauch and Zoraki.
if you watch a youngster trying to load an air pistol the barrel is inevitably stuck into their gut or thigh as they try to load it! Trouble! Even though we train them not to do this their is the possibility of a shot child.

This is where practical experience beats the crap out of theory every time.
