    Default Trajectory and POI Adjustments

Was playing with chairgun earlier, trying to get a feel for how much holover reqired at various distances during typical HFT scenario. Used air Arms pellet at 8.4g at 800 fps zeroed at 20m with scope 1.5" above LOS. (S400 aprox) magnification - 10x.
Seemed to be big - 3-5 mildot holdover required between 10-15 meters
from 15 - 35 meters all shots would have hit a 2" killzone without holdover.
    from 35 - 45 only .5 -1.5 mildot holdover required.

Is this anywhere near realistic? What adjustments have you found works.

Have no gun at the moment and can't help practising shooting in my head.

Tomcat if you look at chairgun you will see on your line of sight the trajectory crosses twice .To get a happy medium set the zero to about 10-11m and you will found that the next zero will be about 35-36m if the scopes height is 4cm above the barrel also use 780 fps and 10 power is spot on

    Thanks Hennie,
Am I right about the middle area needing very little holdover. Which means you really only have to concentrate on the short shots, and the long shots in terms of new point of aim - and of course wind!!!

Depending on size of kill zone the "sweet spot in the middle becomes smaller or larger".
So a challenging HFT course will have more targets either close or past 35 meters. The ones in the middle "should" be a given...
