There is a nice 'arguement' on the airgunbbs in the UK, most people are voting the Steyr, and some punting the EV2. Not having shot either I'll just be biased and go with the 'pellet gun'. :>

Hmmm, the one on the right and considering that it is the same price as the RWS500, that ain't bad.

Maybe i'm going blind but it took me 10minutes to see difference betweeen the two and I'm not even sure I picked up all the fifferences. I'll take either,if I have a choice, but will not buy either. I will only use it for FT.but still nurse my 400 like I do now.

it's a bit difficult to compare the Steyr with the RWS500 since at the same price the Steyr is a bargain here in SA. Considering the Steyr sells for UKP1000 and the RWS is UKP720 then the Steyr should sell for at least R16500 here.
It is unqueastionably the most accurate rifle I have ever shot. I can regularly shoot a 5000 on the BR25 target.
I have had 5 going through my hands in the past 4 months and they are nothing short of amazing , at all power levels from 5 ft/lbs to 20ft/lbs.
The triggers are 10M match rifle triggers, the rifles are regulated, adjustable in more ways you can think of bla bla bla.

The RWS500 is purely a 50ft/lbs+ hunter made to shoot 30grain .22 pellets...in .177 it is complete overkill!!

In my opinion the EV2 is not as adjustable or as adaptable as the Steyr...
They are both as accurate as each other but the Steyr just offers that much more.

Guido, keep it that way ... YOUR OPINION !amazed

True though, Steyr is more adjustable, question is do you need all that adjustability in FT ?
EV2 does knee, butt, cheek and trigger.

But ... what puts the EV2 above the rest ... built in bubble level AND windicator ! EV3, hopefully we also get an Anglicator (Angle indicator).

If it's so cheap then why don't we see it on the Steyr. Engineering to difficult ?
