Congratulations to those shooters who have been chosen to represent South Africa at the International .22 and Air Rifle shoot.

I stand to be corrected but this is the first event of this stature that has included air rifle and also the first time in South Africa that air rifle shooters have achieved National Colours via their own code barring of course the Air Rifle Association themselves. Good for the benchresters!

I believe that Protea Colours have been awarded or at least applied for.

I can categorically state that the colours has been AWARDED to the team this year and they are leaving for Italy around the middle of the year.

I have just been thinking: Why did I have to pay fees to SAARA and to all the other orginisations in between, through SAFTAA, if I don't have to belong to all of them, only to SASSF?

Congratulations to the BR PROTEA TEAM.
Question: The team that is leaving for Italy, are they the
best shots in SA, or is it a team that can afford it?

Wally they are the best BR shots in SA that participated in all the competitions as required, firstly. Being BR shots they can also afford to go, secondly. They are REALLY sending the best AVAILABLE shots. You would never know if they, or anybody else is the best untill each and evey one in the country has shot in the same competition against each other and that is impossible. Good luck to them. Another first for the shooting sport.

Well Piet, you did your little bit yourself if I remember correctly. Don't forget my 49% interest in the price though.
