I am of the personal belief that a custom stock must be just that... CUSTOM-made for an individual.

That stock was made to suit Dieter. I was under the impression that if I got a 'custom' stock, it would improve my shooting. That particular stock did the exact opposite for me. I found it cumbersome and too 'edgy', and the toothpaste-look did not do it any favours in my eyes.

This is not to say that it would not suit the new owner perfectly, and I hope it does, as it is actually a very nice piece of work.

My personal preference is a standard stock with modifications. While it may not be pretty, if it is purely a competition gun, who cares.

Paris picked up my 'Frankenstein' rifle and shot an amazing first-time score with it. He said he felt as if the rifle was an extension of himself. THAT is how it should be.

Once again... I hope that stock works for the new owner.

    Fairly true.

I am pretty lucky that the CS1000 pattern works very well for me. I also like the CS800, only the newer variants are let down by too low a comb for a big FT scope.

    Thank you for the comments.

As always nothing can be to everyones liking. How it shoots is the most important thing, but I also like my rifles to look good, be clean and like to keep them in pristine condition.

Done a bit of shooting with the TX200. The stock is adjustable and most people should be able to adjust it to there liking. I still need to get the trigger just right, a bit heavy at the moment and the stock needs a few minor adjustments to suit my shooting style.

Below a 5 shot group at 23m form the FT sitting position shooting over my knee. This rifle definitely has potential and will try it out at one of the WP FT shoots soon.

Paris is a magician when it comes to tuning a TX200 trigger. He tuned mine and the first stage is nice and solid with the second stage as close to a hair trigger as you can possibly get.
