    Default EV2 service

Before I start .All I want to say is.DONT SERVICE ANY PCP UNLESS YOU HAVE THE SKILL AND TOOLS REQUIRED !!

Of late the EV has been giving mr bad grouping. 10-12mm ctc at 22m.This had bothered paperpunching but FT seemed to not suffer because of it.

I read through the manual and thought well I have to given my sweety any loving care in a year and a half.

First I scrubberd the bore. VFG intensive cleaning pellets.Yes I was despirate Groupings a bit better but still eratic.

I told myself after the AGF Provincial I would go hard core and remove the action from the stock.

On opening the trigger cover plate I was horrified at the dirt in the unit.Stripped the whole lot and cleaned .Lubed as per the instructions in the manual.

Groupings are now back to 1 hole at 22m.

Who would have thought that would happen.Fps had no real change even though the hammer was dirty. So I cant tell you why things improved.

things probably improved once you put 10 or 20 pellets through the clean bore and put some lead back in the rifling...or when you retightened the stock screws...

Guido I did the bore about a week ago and have done at least 1000 shots before I cleaned the trigger system.

Cant say I saw any change in grouping after the first few shots.

As long as you dont mess with my S400

I was always scared to open it.After a quick talk with myself I thought .If I can work on multi million dollat machines then the EV is no challenge.

Still wont mess with the regulator though.

Forgive my ignorance guys but how dust in the trigger dept. can have an impact on the POI? You need something to increase resistance (preferably inconsistently) so the force of the finger becomes unstable. But then Allan would have noticed that. Maybe the lubrication was not effective?
I think I miss something here.

    I think Yannis is correct...

unless velocity was inconsistent due to debris on the strker

the fix was probably the refitting anr retightening of the stock...or maybe it was just psychosomatic
