What is the preferred method to mount a torch to the rifle/scope?

Ductape might work, but will cause a sticky mess Rather get a proper clamp - Led Lenser makes a nice one and not to expensive. Cheers, Rudolf Murray

Ledlenser have a replacement pressel switch for the T7 torch and a clamp that works perfectly on a 25 or 30mm scope tube. Both are relatively inexpensive. Awesome Tools in Kraaifontein are the agents.

There are two ways to shoot in the dark. Either with the torch mounted on the scope with a appropriate bracket or get your shooting partner to stand behind you and illuminate the target with a normal hand held torch. Both ways work just as well.

Ok so I have never shot a rifle with a torch mounted to the scope - I do have a torch and mounts.

Once you have this set up does it affect your POI ? It must affect the balance of the rifle in some way, just wondering ......

And a 'normal' bulb torch seems to work better than led torch for the night shoots because then beam is more concentrated on one spot. Just my 5c.
