Default Simple to make fold up stock for SPA CP1 CO2 pistol.

Been thinking of making a quick fold up skeleton stock for my CP1 pistol and came up with this design using 25mm x 3,5mm aluminum flat bar. Took me about 3 hours of actual work time to make. Still needs to be sprayed black to match the pistol grip.

Takes just seconds to fold up and can removed if needed to use as a pistol.

Cost R85 for the aluminum and R3-50 for the threaded inserts and machine screws. Rest was scraps in the garage.

Todays project is to fit the stock to a ancient Drulov single shot pistol and turn it into a mini 22 rifle.

I did something similar, but got irritated by the direction of the pivot.

A spacer to flatten the 'arc', so that the stock swings on the horizontal plane is required. Then it will be the dogs balls!

Yes by adding a spacer to the bottom of the pistol grip you could get the stock nearer the horizontal when folded, but the down side would be a longer grip so not much real saving.

By reversing the stock it folds up into a more compact size.

My idea was to come up with something that is easy to manufacturer while still being practical to use and it certainly makes the pistol easier to shoot accurately.

So for less for less than R100 and with a few basic hand tools, pretty much any CP1 owner should be able to make one up in a couple of hours.

Oh and Mr CK while it might not be ergonomically correct or win any prize in a beauty competition it works for me

I just bought the folding stock created for the Artemis pp700 and adapted the wooden grip from my Artemid cp1 to it

    Hi Tom,

I really like this. I have often considered a pistol/carbine but always looked at the crossman 2240 as there is a range of "drop in" parts.
With a bit of elbow grease you have shown us an awesome mod for a popular and affordable pistol out here.

Have you done any other mods to this pistol?

Thanks for sharing and judging by your post count Welcome
