    Default Pellets ?

Okay , it does seem to me that there is quite a bit of uncertainty with regards to the weight of our most popular pellets in .177.

I thought that this might help everyone out a bit and also be of help to the person that is looking for a heavier/lighter pellet but who is unsure of which brand offers what he needs.

Herewith then a List that will clear everything up a tad. (Attachment 1)

    Also just for ineterest sake:

I have always loved and swore by JSB's -which ever model. I recently tried out some other pellets just for interest sake (as I was sure that you can't improve on the accuracy of JSB's [ Please note that my observations are subject to the use of the pellets in my BAM and that other shooters may experience different results with their rifles].

I did all the shooting with the different pellets and initially I did not intend to shoot any JSB's on this target. But at the end I Just shot some anyway. After 3 shots I stopped {in retrospect I think I shouldn't have since I expect some of the critics will claim that the results would have been different had I shot 2 more pellets. I doubt this though

    Happy Shooting

Well, it all depend on for what purpose you want to use the pellets. For FT I do not think ( and I've tried a few) there's anything more accurate than the AA's and JSB's for precision shooting in almost all the popular rifles. Me personally use JSB's in all my rifles and I do a lot of target practise. I'm very happy with them. If there's any pellets out there more accurate it's not worthwhile for me to search for them. So Vuilhond, find those that work for you and stick to them.

But the statistics you posted is very interesting. You'll never beleive there's so many makes out there and all the different weights. It can make you quite "deurmekaar".

Yup. If ever I can't find JSB's or AA, I'll be sure to turn to Baracudas. This was the 1st time I tried them. Had heard so many good things about them in the past , so I was half expecting a result like that.

    If JSB's and AA's are a 10/10 I'd rate the H&N's a 9.5
