Default Nikko 10-50x60 Side wheel stripdown and backlash removal

Most big Nikkos and Lynxes I have used suffer from some degree of backlash.

    Very easy to fix...

see this link for a stripdown procedure.

    https://www.airrifle.co.za/library/B...0stripdown.pdf

then put some very thin shims or shimming material [use your imagination here] between the brass spindle and the body of the black side wheel...

    reassemble
    voila!

There are some Nikko's I have used that are so stiff I fear I might break the parallax wheel off when range finding .

Andre, I would suspect poorly lubricated seals. So unless it is something right inside, you should be able to get to them.

    did u read the link??
    - remove the cap with the 2 off-center holes. You need a tool to do this. I made a very simple tool using a piece of wood and 2 small nails. To unscrew, turn clockwise !!

Yes I did(If you are talking to me) but it does not unscrew clockwise or anticlockwise. I re-assembled it and left is as is.
