Default Air Arms / Neostead springer Info

    Hi,

Stumbled upon one of these the other day. Does anybody have more info on this rifle. It is apparently a joint venture project between AA and Neostead. Rifle is a break neck .177, LW barrel, has the same stuff at rear as TX200's, basic stock and trigger (don't know if 2 stage). No AA logo, just "AA NS" markings on breech.

Anybody have further specs/history on this rifle?

I think it was a limited run prototype, 'cause stock is quite basic (no rollover/checkering and ambi) and trigger blade finishing is sort-of raw, but feels nice. Despite this the rifle handles well, still want to take a few shots with it (maybe take my chrony with to measure). I think weight/size wise the rifle was targeted for a younger audience.

I'll ask Louis tomorrow. Speaking of which, has Importer been on since the upgrade?

There never was a joint venture between AA and Alex du Plessis. Certain parts were supplied to Alex Du Plessis who contracted with Neostead and Truvelo. The design was by Air Arms and the brief was for somebody to manufacture a rifle to Air Arms standard and within a certain price limit.

Unfortunately the rifle could not be produced in South Africa economically and Air Arms never received a final model for evaluation.

    Not Air Arms!

Thanks Importer, all is revealed. Based on the components supplied, is the rifle worth the 2.6K they want for it?
