    Default HFT/plinking Scope for Hw77 or Hw97

Ok one of these fun things to ask from forum guys. If you had to put a scope on the Hw77 or Hw97 what would it be. I thing recoil dictates that it shouyld be a once piece mount. I was thinking a Nikko Stirling Nighteater maybe someting in the 4-9 x 40 range if they have such a scope. Maybe a Leapers in that size. Any advise would be much appreciated

and no they dont have a 4-9 and the night eater has extended mildots which is not that nice for hft. you need normal mildots to judge accurately 4-12 is what you want in the airking that is. and the beauty is it comes with a one piece mount

mmmmm and the Leapers 3-9 x 50 -very nice scope but Im affraid the bell might be a tad big as the 77 just takes the 4 x 40 on its one piece mount.... coulde maybe squeeze a 42 bell on there but thats something Ill have to check...

I find the 3-9 works well... 12x mag is too hazy for either the long shots or the close shots (Last weekends 8m with reducer was a missed shot because I couldnt see the KZ). The 9x mag doesnt affect the pic quality to such an extent.

    IMO Get the Leapers.

same here. I missed it as well. but that was because it was 8m away. 10x zoom and focus set to 20m and I could not see the kill zone.. and because there was no paint left on it
