    Default Norica Pradera/Prairie PCP

While browsing the Norica Catalog ( http://www.norica.es/Ficheros/CAT_NORICA_INT08.pdf ), found this pretty l'il thing. It's a rebranded Falcon Prairie Bull Barrel sporter FAC (16fpe).

This is odd 'cause doesn't Falcon belong under the same umbrella as AA? So where does Norica fit in?

Wonder how much they're going for?

I had a Norica Marvic Gold springer which was really a sweet rifle, Excellent build quality (better than Gamo's imo) and finishing, and not too shabby in the accuracy department. If that rifle was anything to go by then this PCP has to be something special.
I believe the current price for the Marvic Gold is around R4000-R4700-00 so i can only imagine that this beaut is going to be pretty pricey. Looks almost id to S400 only with a very "stewige" barrel. Nice...

Does a bull barrel improve accuracy it an airrifle at all?

I like my gamo, but have to admit the new gamo guns are terrible as far as quality goes.

It's not a true bull barrel. Airgun "bull barrels" are shrouds that act as silencers ie. they're tubes which cover the barrel. Rifle should shoot no different accuracy-wise with or without shroud.

I agree with Curt, the Norica is way better than the Gamo's. Triggers still sort of suck, but with a bit of use the Norica's trigger gets better. Just a pitty the price went up the way it did. The retail of the Marvic gold is something like R4500. Last year I sold them for something like R2700. Pity they didn't bring the Norica Storm in this year. That was a beautifull rifle. Cronied at 993 ft/s with Pro Hunters and got decent sized groupings at 50m.

But back to the PCP rifle.. it sure looks nice.

It isn't unusual for one manufacturer to commission guns from another under agreement badged with their name,
    other examples include:

    Air Arms S200 (CZ)
    RWS 500+ (Daystate)
    RWS Rapier/Scimitar (FX)
    Webley Axsor (Axsor)
    Webley FX2000 (FX)
    RWS CA100 (Air Arms)
