Default HIGHWAY AIRGUN CLUB Field Target shoot 29 May 2016

    Hi Everyone,

HAGC will be hosting a fun FT club shoot this Sunday the 29th of May.

All are welcome to come down and join in the fun!

Course build will start at 10:00am, any help with the setup would be greatly appreciated! Shooters briefing will be at 11 am, with the shoot starting at 11:15.

Standard range fees apply as this is a fun shoot, if you are keen to just come down and plink, but aren't keen to participate in the FT shoot you are welcome as well.

Looking forward to seeing you all down at the range!

    Kind regards
    Andrew

    Hi Everyone!

We had a really nice shoot yesterday, with the wind only really coming up a little later in the afternoon. Although we only had a total of 4 shooters, it was really great fun and a serious challenge!
I think we may have over-estimated our skill level a tad when setting up the course, as we all had quite a hard time of it, especially with the swirling breeze in the afternoon!
Mike it seems shoots better in the wind, with a great last round to take the win!

    The results are as follows:

    1) Mike, AA S400 MPR, JSB 8,44gr = 27
    2) Andrew, AA S400, JSB 8,44gr = 25
    3) Graeme Walther LGV, H&N FTT 8,64gr =11
    4) Venay, CZ 200S, JSB 8,44 = 6

The transition from "competitive plinking" to a full FT shoot has been an interesting one so far and has highlighted many areas where we need to up our game and get in some constructive practice! The majority of us have been shooting using holdover and lower magnification for a long time, and this in particular let me down yesterday. Along with inaccurate range "guestimation"!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and learnt loads and we will all continue to learn and have fun as we go along!
I will post pics a bit later today.

Looking forward to the next one!
