    Default Postal 10m fun shoot.

I asked my wife to print me some informal 25m BR targets.
She did, but the first lot she down scaled.

When I got the targets I realized the down scaled targets would be perfect for 10m shooting.
So I put one up and shot it using my FBW 300s topped with a Nikko Stirling 4x32 scope.
Quite challenging to say the least!

So what say you we have ourselves a little friendly competition?

10m outdoors using any .177 springer and scope (for fairness 6x maximum magnification) you choose. Rifle rested on whatever you prefer.
Shoot as many targets as you please, submit your best one on this thread.

Scoring will be done by the shooter, no gauges. If the shot breaks a line on any ring, you get the value of that ring. Paper tears don't count.
If the 10 ring is obliterated you score an 10x. (I trust everyone will be honest in their scoring)

Target is the Northcliff Informal BR target scaled down printed on A4. I don't how much to scale it down, my wife did it by accident and cannot remember. (sure you guys will figure it out)

    Removed

Print the target A4 and shoot away! https://www.airrifle.co.za/library/A...Fun_Target.pdf

First 250 gets 5 tins of JSB 4.52 8.44gr pellets.

    Start shooting guys!

On the left is the 10m target, and on the right the standard one A4.

After interrogation my wife, it seems she had to UP-scale the target to get it to A4.
Should be printed in A5 to scale it down to right size for 10m.

Actually Henry, the Informal target is meant to be printed on A4 with no scaling.

Rings 10 to 6 comply exactly with the WRABF 25m Target specification, ring 5 is 38mm whereas the WRABF specification is 39mm. The numbered target box on the informal is 39mm

You could also go with an informal br target that uses the ISSF 10m air rifle ring sizing, bar the 10 ring which is 1mm instead of .5mm : https://www.airrifle.co.za/library/A...10m_Target.pdf (A4, no scaling)

Can i suggest that we use the informal br target that CK suggested, no scaling. That way, we are all on the same page - literally.

I like the idea Henry, this could really be a lot of fun.

    +1
I have a bunch already printed so don't want to have to reprint.

CK, I think my wife printed the original to A5 (or whatever) and the rest correctly.
I am not going to argue with her though!

The idea is to make the target smaller to better post a challenge at 10m.

The blocks on the target measure 26x26mm.
The 10 ring is .5mm diameter.

The whole target (25 blocks) excluding the header and sighter targets should measure 13.5cm x 14cm

If we shoot the standard informal target it will be just too easy.

After some serious scaling effort I have come to the conclusion my wife did something non repeatable!

After a search online I have found a suitable target.
CK has helped tremendously in turning it into something very shootable. Thank you CK I really appreciate all your effort and help!

Print the target A4 and shoot away! Henrys 10m Benchrest Fun Target

ps: Please read the scoring instructions at the bottom and score accordingly.
Should you obliterate the 10 ring you will still score 10X

    Scoring:
A 10 must touch or break the 10 ring AND not touch the 9 ring.
Any shot touching or breaking two rings will be scored at the lower value.
Example: A shot breaking both the 8 and 9 rings will be scored as an 8.

I have a feeling this target will pose enough of a challenge!
Very, very small margin for error between an X, 10, and a 9.
Shot 2 targets today, first was a 217.
The one below is 231 3x.

A challenge is an understament! That being said, I think I have cracked it. Four tries later though, and I got it! Damn you Henry - I had such a splitting headache from concentrating!

The holes are a little bigger, as I'm using H&N Finale Match Rifle, compared to the holes made by domed JSB Exacts. But my 300 S just likes them that much more.

Remember touching 2 scoring lines, results in the lesser score.
So if you touch the 10 and the 9 ring it will be a 9.

Looking at your target I would score it about an 239 X 4 or 5.

Still a very, very good effort that!
Your score will be hard to beat!

Definitely not touching any of the 9 rings. The wadcutters do make quite a large hole, so it can seem that way, or at least very close. Why do you think it took four attempts.

I can always send you a full resolution image if you would like to confirm. This is going to be a tricky challenge. Scoring for oneself is never a very good idea!
