Hi Buksie, That was my original idea and I tried variations of it but it's prone to leaking. I am unable to machine it as in the dwg with the O rings with my skill level but found that the higher the pressure the harder it was to pull the trigger. The Webley also has a similar but far more complicated system and they have a safety/valve lock that needs to be locked as far as I can understand. This pushes the shaft face against the valve to force a seal and locks the valve shaft onto the sear. Once locked the safety can be released and the trigger pulled. I am now on my 5th valve design and each one gets closer to what I originally wanted. Have already blown one valve out of the back of the rifle during testing, my fault, didn't secure the lock nuts properly.
