    Default KRAL PUNCHER JUMBO

I was lucky enough to shoot the Jumbo yesterday...and have a closer look at the workings...thanks to oom Piet and Bets...
it is pretty much the standard Kral Puncher action with a combo picatinny/dovetail scope rail...
there is a dropdown adapter so the bottle can be fitted...
fit and finish are acceptable for the money...(some of the machining leaves a bit to be desired)...trigger is heavy and single stage...can be improved with some work...
side lever cocking is heavy and not smooth...the lever is cast metal of some sort...
not a comfortable rifle...the grip feels awkward for me...
it has the standard port adjustable power...
    i shot a few groups with it...give or take 1" at around 35m...with 14gn and 18gn JSB's

    Things i like...
Price...lightweight...looks...shotcount could be good depending on setup...comes with a hard case...

Would i buy one...probably as a project rifle to see what i could get out of it...for the price...you can afford to play with it...

If you want to buy a rifle that's ready to plink with out the box...(comes with a 4x32 scope and mounts)...it's a bargain...

    Hi Guys

I am interested in the Kral Puncture Jumbo 5.5mm but there is just about no info available on the internet.

Anyone out there that has bought one that can give a accurate opinion based on actual performance?

Single stage trigger? Cocking not smooth, and the finish is just "ok". 1"groups at 35m??? Nope, I'll pass thanks.

those things can be "sorted"...the rifle is still very good value for money as i said...try one before you write it off...
I have a Kral that i worked on...spent a bit of money and time on it...now it can shoot 2" groups at 125m
cocking is a lot smoother and the trigger reasonable...

I totally understand where your coming from, but im looking for a rifle that will not need to be worked on before i can shoot it. Im only gonna be buying in december anyway, so still have a way to go.I was also looking at the Jkahn iluda n400. Would this not be a better rifle than the jumbo? Or if you have any advice, It will be greatly appreciated. Here are my specs:

    *R18,000.00 budget (just for rifle)
    *50+ shots per charge
    *Multi shot
    *30 fpe
    *.22 cal
    *Sporter stock
    *Preferably regulated
    *Good 2 stage trigger
*Preferably a buddy bottle rifle, but not a must.

Maybe something like the r10 mk2?

    Thanks in advance

Nice rifle, very accurate I have the Compatto, love the trigger mechanism, very quiet and smooth, as said laser sharp accurate. It will need a second stage silencer for backyard plinking if you have close neighbours.
