    Default Quick project - How to make your own supa dupa 'pellet pad'

    Don't know what the real description would be so I will refer to it as 'pellet pad.'
    Anyways,Sniper kindly gave me one which he sourced in Poland at the 2007 worlds. I really like these jobbies and wondered how/if I can replace it when the time comes. Here's something that I discovered works schmart as a replacement for the real Mckoy.
    Buy one of these so called 'rubber' fly swats;

    Remove the wire handle:

    Mark the outline for the shape you wish to cut:

    Cut on the outline with sharp scissors:
    ]
    attach a necklace and tadaaa !

    Interestingly they don't seem to be coming from the same template as they do not have the same number of holes on them. However I have counted four different samples and the least amount of holes was 54, enough for a full FT shoot plus 'spillage'.
    I find these pads work very well and once you are used to it you can literally use it with your eyes closed as all you need to do is press/pop the pellet out between your thumb and forefinger and you are good to go. Hunters will find it very quiet too.
    Here I have two pads on the same necklace holding 120 odd pellets:

    Schmart eh? Thats enough pellets at one go to keep even the Walther 'load 'em on Sunday and shoot all week' shooters busy.

    Piet, you are the master when it comes to shooting flies..
    I guess I can still swat them but 54 x 8.44gr makes a healthy 455.76gr fly swat, somewhat 'too much gun' for the average fly.
    Not to mention the damage to furniture and resulting smack I'll get from the Missus if I use it indoors !

    You can also use a mouse pad. Cut to your shape, mark the holes and drill with a dremel tool using a 3.5mmm drill bit
