Default Fun day in Pta area

When are you having the next fun and/or clubshoot? One of those shoots where every rifle is welcome. (Even 30fpe...) I enjoyed the last one held at Wonderboom a while ago.

Ian , just because all are welcome does not mean you must bring a 30fpe weapon.Somebody has to repair the targets after they have been hammered like that.

I think you may just be asked to krank it down .

Full power(30Ft/ln) rifles should not be allowed up to 100m. (Maybe they should not be allowed at all, like in the UK.)

    Gerrief I dont agree.

Please tell me why these rifle are not welcome?

Why cant we have a seperate shoot at these club shoots? Like a fun shoot. That will also attract more people to the sport.

I mean lets have a seperate shoot for rifles over 20+ fpe at 60m. That will be very challenging especially on a windy day.

Im sure there are guys out there who would love to challenge each other with high power rifles. (Myself, LLoyd, Section 8, Vuilhond, and many Malan tuned BAM Owners in Gauteng)

    What do you guys say?

Ian, I agree with you. I only have the one air rifle, AA S400 XTRA FAC .20cal @+-30fpe. I have never been at fun shoots (or any shoot as a matter of fact) because of comments like that made by Gerrie. I would like to participate in fun shoots but don’t want to feel like I am an outcast

    Gentleman and ladies,
Don't bother about me too much. Go your own merry way.
I just have this feeling in my water that the "great white hunters" that put pictures of their dead birds and rats and all the stories about it on the forum, together with the FAC guys, that can't stop making it known to all and sundry just how "POWERFUL" their air rifles are, are the people that are making the biggest contribution to us having our air rifles re-licenced again in future. I might be far wrong or full of crap again, as usual, but that is what I think. I often hunt and we shoot hundreds of birds, but we keep it quiet about it. Having said it here, as I just did, actually goes against my grain, but I have to, to try and get the message through to as many as possible of you chaps. As a matter of interest, I shoot -12Ft/lb ONLY. I actually sold my HW100 because it wouldn't perform adequately at 12Ft/lb (Not the main reason, but one of it)
